According to reliable leaks and tipster reports, the Global and India launch of these devices is expected in early 2026, creating excitement among Xiaomi fans worldwide.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Officially Released in China
Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China on December 25, 2025. This flagship features:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor
- 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display
- Leica-tuned camera system
The device also comes with a 6,800mAh battery and fast charging support, making it a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment.
Global and India Launch: Ahead of MWC 2026
Leaks suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the standard Xiaomi 17 could be released globally between January and March 2026. Many sources indicate that these smartphones may hit the market before MWC 2026, possibly in late February 2026.
The India launch is expected in early March 2026, allowing Xiaomi to establish a strong presence in the Indian flagship segment.
Differences in the Global Variant
Some key differences in the Global version may include:
- Battery capacity: ~6,000mAh (slightly lower than China version)
- Color options: Black, White, and Green
- Core specifications, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, camera system, and display, are expected to remain largely the same.
Pricing and Market Positioning
While official pricing is yet to be confirmed, leaks indicate the Global Xiaomi 17 Ultra could cost around €1499 (~₹1,60,000).
This positions the device competitively against Samsung and Apple's flagship models, making it an attractive choice for premium smartphone buyers.
Xiaomi 17 (Standard Version)
The standard Xiaomi 17 is expected to feature:

- 12GB RAM
- Android 16 (HyperOS)
It is expected to launch globally around January–February 2026, with the India release scheduled for March 2026.
